Quickture creates a new sequence in your bin every time you make an edit.
We use a specific naming system to help keep your sequences sorted and organized in your Premiere and Avid bins. Every time a new sequence is created, Quickture appends the letters “QE” for Quickture Edit to the end of the raw sequence name, along with a number. The first sequence generated from a raw sequence is named sequence QE.1, the second is sequence QE.2 etc…
Each child of a sequence gets a .1 or .2 added to it etc… You can see in the image below how the naming structure allows you to find child and parent sequences easily, directly in your Avid or Premiere bins. That said, it's often easier to navigate through Quickture edits using the built in navigation.
