It’s a moment we’ve all been waiting for. The Quickture integrated Avid Media Composer Panel is here. Now you’ll be able to edit right within your Media Composer. We’ve also added Auth0 login to simplify your account management and improve security. That, along with dozens of new features and stability improvements make this an update you don’t want to miss.
Avid Panel - This is so cool lets talk about it some more. Avid panel lets you do all the things you couldn’t do in the Standalone solution:
Label speakers by jumping to timecode and seeing who’s talking!
Jump to timecode in your raw sequence and edited sequences to watch beats of interest.
Ingest and make edits without ever leaving Avid.
Quickture Advanced Transcription Service - This is huge. Got more than 10 speakers in your footage? Quickture’s proprietary AI diarization identifies your speakers AND predicts their names 85% of the time. This leads to a faster, more accurate transcript and better analysis and edits.
Batch ingest - Select multiple raw sequences to ingest ‘em all. Get to editing faster (don’t worry you’ll still have time to grab a coffee while the big batch processes, you just won’t have to do each one by hand).
Activity List Sidebar - Monitor all of your ingestions and edits in progress with the Activity List in the collapsible sidebar. The Activity list alerts you to sequences that need your attention for labelling speakers or because an error occurred. And it makes it easy to jump to completed edits when you have many going at the same time.
Easy Installation - We built some custom installers to streamline installing and uninstalling for Premiere and Avid.
Copy your prompts with a click - Click the little clipboard icon next to prompts in the list of Child Edits or in your edit timelines.
Resize the sidebar - It’s hard to read sequence names in a tiny wedge! Resize the sidebar by clicking and dragging.
Standalone App UI
Rename sequences - Double click to rename your sequences.
Nested Sequences - Sequences are organized with their children nested beneath them to clarify sequence relationships
Cleaner UI - Generally cleaned up the UI and made the navbar denser for more stuff.
New Languages - Quickture now supports Chinese, Swedish, Italian, and Finnish.
Improved Editing in All Languages - We updated all of our non-English language flows for much better results and better control through prompting.
Edit System - You won’t see this, but we completely revamped our edit system logic. This means better edits, fewer errors, and more flexibility to rapidly improve the system. Which we will!
Denser UI - Tightened everything up a bit so you could fit more stuff into your crowded screen. Made the text area sizes adjustable.
Faster Encoding in Avid - We’ve swapped our mp3 engine for much faster encoding.
Clearer Error Codes - Error codes should be more informative and provide more guidance on what you can do to fix them.
Bug Fixes
Cancel button cancels - Improved performance of the Cancel button on progress bars.
Stepper fixed - The stepper at the top of each screen had some issues with showing the right step. No longer.
Stereo Tracks in Avid - Fixed the bug that affected stereo audio tracks.
Text Entry - Text entry could be really slow, especially in the Label Speakers screen. Should be much snappier now.
