Quickture 1.5.1 is our biggest update yet! Story Engine 2, Vision Editing, a new Premiere pipeline, and powerful new tools for search, transcripts, and project management.

We’ve rebuilt our story engine from the ground up to make it smarter and more responsive to all of your prompts. It’s also up to 5X faster! You should see improved performance on every edit including:
Follow Complex Instructions - Story Engine 2 is much better at following complex, multi-step prompts to guide your edit. You can give it detailed instructions on tone, format, and structure. You can ask Quickture to generate 10 promos for different demographics, and it will deliver and also explain the choices it made in more detail in the Response Notes.
Precise Time Control - Story Engine 2 is much better at following timing instructions and can get very close to time, even with short promo edits.
Accurate Paper Edits - If you’re editing to a script, Story Engine 2 will more accurately follow your exact guidelines to assemble your cut.
Remove Individual Lines or Make Small Revisions- Story Engine 2 can now accurately edit out small parts of the script, even a single line, without making any other changes to your cut. You can use this skill to revise a 44 minute edit to 43 minutes and 30 seconds etc…
We’ve been working hard to get vision editing up to Quickture standards and we finally have a tool that is flexible, precise, and easy to prompt. Vision Editing understands what’s in your footage and can assemble a cut that combines dialogue and visuals, or edit a visual montage with control over the framing, motion, and content of every shot.
Make a Visual Montage - Vision Editing works in Guided Edit or Multi Edit to plan a visual edit based on your prompt, find the relevant footage, and assemble it into a coherent visual story. You can request specific timing, and even control the timing of individual shots. You can prompt for actions in the footage, characters, camera moves, lighting, or a combination of every visual element.
Add B-roll to your A-Story - Vision Editing can find relevant b-roll and edit it over your A-story. Combine interviews and archival, or ask Quickture to cover certain shots with reaction shots.
Edit Visual Promos and More! - With the power of vision editing, you can easily ask Quickture to “Make a dramatic action packed 15 second promo that starts with visual action shots and ends with a killer sound up". The possibilities are endless.
We’ve completely revamped Quickture’s Premiere Pro workflow to speed up every step of your process, from ingestion to edit.
Adobe Media Encoder Export – Quickture harnesses the power of Adobe Media Encoder to speed up ingesting your footage into Quickture. By moving the proxy export to Media Encoder, your Premiere app stays responsive during encoding. No more waiting around for renders to finish!
Instant Edits - Instead of building each edit one cut at a time, Quickture now imports the full, complete edited sequence instantly. You can edit faster and run more edits simultaneously, while continuing your work uninterrupted. Multicam, merged clips, muted clips, and AV-link states are all preserved. We’ve also deprecated the Control Surface editing.
Search and Discuss Across More Footage - We increased the number of sequences you can search, discuss and edit with to the thousands and more.
More Accurate Visual Transcripts - We increased the resolution on Visual Transcripts so timing information and descriptions will be more accurate. We even updated your old visual transcripts to improve their quality as well!
Add to Bin in Vision Search - Create subclips and put them in a bin directly from the Vision Search thumbnail results.
Faster Transcript Edits - We optimized editing transcript lines and speaker names so it’s faster and… well mostly just faster!
Transcript Find & Replace - Quickly fix spellings across your whole transcript with Find & Replace. Yes, we know it’s basic, but it’s good!
Set Sequence Names - The latest update lets you double-click sequence names right in the Quickture panel to rename them. That means you can rename an edit as it’s processing so you know which edited sequence comes from which prompts! An easy way to organize your results when you’re making lots of Quickture edits.
Search Sequences with Multiple Terms - Now you can put in multiple search terms to find sequences in the side navbar, in edit-by-example, or when setting Active Sequences for a multi edit. Search for date and location, character names and scene names, etc…
Project Description & Speaker Management - A new "Project Description" option in the hamburger menu lets you enter custom context about your project to improve transcription and speaker-prediction.
Faster Uploads - Our CTO claims he “parallelized multi-part upload with adaptive concurrency” during import. We’re not fans of the made-up words, but uploads are faster now!
Avid Support for Mac OS Sonoma and Ventura - We updated Quickture Avid Helper for older Macs (though you should update your systems since Apple no longer supports older OSs!)
Handle Sequence Names with Unusual Characters - Quickture had issues dealing with sequence name with slashes, umlauts, and other characters. We fixed that.
Fix Blank Screen Crashes in Premiere - We fixed some bugs that led to a blank screen in the Premiere Pro Plugin.
Fix Missing Sequences in Activity List and Sequence List - We fixed some bugs that led to missing sequences in the navbar.
Fix Copying Sequences from project to project in Avid - We plugged some holes in moving sequences from one project to another. You should now be able to copy from within Avid OR by directly copying a bin in your file explorer, and keep you Quickture data and transcripts in the new project.
