If you’re an Avid Panel user, the biggest thing you’ll experience in this release is a much more stable batch ingestion experience. You should be able to ingest a dozen sequences without hitting errors, and if you do hit errors, you can just retry without haven’t to restart your Avid.
There are also bunch of improvements you’ll enjoy on Premiere Pro Panel and Standalone as well.
Batch ingestion Works - Batch ingestion was good in concept, but led to many errors. We’ve conquered the errors so you can work faster and more reliably.
Group Clips in Avid Work Better - We fixed a bug that affected Group Clips in Avid, so these should work more reliably.
Team Edits Improved in Avid Panel - We’ve improved how we’re saving the Quickture project files that store your transcripts and edits locally. Instead of storing them in a single file, we’re now storing multiple smaller .json files in a Quickture Data directory you may notice in your Avid Project Directory. This delivers more efficient saving of project changes, and more reliable Team access to shared Quickture projects.
Left and Right Arrows Mac Premiere Pro Panel - If you’ve ever tried to use the left and right arrow keys to navigate around a text field in our Mac Premiere Pro Panel, you know it didn’t work. Now it does! You’ll still see the Program window move a frame forward or back every time but just ignore that (it’s an Adobe bug).
Batch Ingestion “Apply to All” - We’ve also added an “Apply to All” checkbox to set your ingest settings once for all the selected sequences.
General Speed Improvements - We’re caching a few more things so may notice some small speed improvements.
Transcript Preferences - You asked and we delivered (thank you for your patience!). Now you can set which Quickture files you want to save and where to save them. We also added a “Traditional Script” option that saves a version of the transcript broken into more readable paragraphs.
